| My moms yorkie grew up with my sisters pitbull and my yorkie grew up with my in laws black lab...they ALL get along and so cute to see.. as much as I trust the big dogs very much I would not leave them alone together just incase something happens while they play.. you never know

Seriously, you have to watch them. A larger pup can put a bad hurt on a little dog unintentionally.....We are so glad that out Corso is so gentle, and how he steps around here, and does not roll on her when she lays next to him sometimes on his bed. | |

| my boys have played with australian shepherds, big labs, other yorkies, rat terriers, mutts, etc...and we've never had an issue. with the bigger dogs, I make sure that they're always watched, and that if either the big or small dogs need a break, they are separated. As long as you're careful, I would say there's no issue with letting them play I would be careful about the big dogs playing rough with the small ones, but all you need to do is slightly intervene when play gets too rough...they will eventually learn to be gentle.
