| ![]() Roxie was spayed in February. She had internal stitches and glue on the outside. The first 24 hours she didn't want to do anything but lay in her bed. She didn't eat for almost 48 hours, but she did drink water. By day 3 she was more herself. We tried to keep her walks brief and on a short leash, so she wouldn't run. Play time was kept to a minimum, and we lifted her up onto the couch instead of letting her jump. She healed just fine. She didn't need to wear a cone, and the clinic hadn't given us any pain meds. The biggest challenge was waiting 10 days to bathe her after the surgery! She was so stinky after she came home from the clinic, and it just got worse as the days passed.
