I've always been lost on the whole "babydoll" thing too, i thought maybe it was a marketing term

..... A friend of mine said toby had a "babydoll face"......lol.... but he also said that he is "oversized"..... im biased i guess, i say hes "perfect"

HMMM I don't know I always find that if I cut different dogs hair different ways it can make them look baby doll faced

I agree...I also think the term is a selling tool for higher prices...I think Cheri has that kind of face.... but I try not to say it about her because all yorkies have little doll faces to me....Here is MY little Baby Doll ...hehe

I really don't think that the term Babydoll face is a tool for selling at higher price because I have seen bigger Yorkies with short noses in this photo gallery

Well...you could be right - I just notice the sites that have the higher prices stress the look these days - I guess it's all in the interpretation and that was only my opinion on it ...The words...Teacup...BabyDoll and a few others... in my opinion... are descriptive, but I also think in some cases are used to price a puppy higher ...

Villette , I agree with you that some breeders used these terms to higher their prices . When I look at those sites , I really laugh just looking at the really ridiculous higher prices they ask . Several of the puppies really don't worth their prices .

Most of my Yorkies have short noses and small ears . I will never use those terms when I will have puppies available .

I think BabyDoll is just a term, like Tea Cup. Just to make their price go up.
A Yorkie is a Yorkie, And we all Love them, no matter what size or color, they will all steal our hearts!

This is one of my puppies . I never ask higher price but when the puppies are ready to leave , they are spayed or neutered before leaving to their new homes and I have a contract that stipulate that I will always take back the puppy if for a reason or another the new owner is not able to keep him or her.
New parents are always surprised to hear me tell them that even if the puppies are going to their places , they always still mine . For me , breeding is a lifetime responsibility .

I hold my breath sometimes when I see newbies make a thread with such descriptive terms and hope that everyone is nice to them because lots of people who are new to yorkies just don't know and those descriptive words, for whatever reason, are used. I didn't know didley squat about yorkies when I bought Bentley, but with time and experience AND especially this forum I have learned SOOOO much!!!
