| There is only one size of yorkie and that is the standard size. Usually people use the word "teacup" as a marketing ploy. I had a friend who bought a "teacup" and ended up with a 12lb yorkie. Standard states that the dog shouldn't exceed 7lbs Welcome to YT! You'll love it here and can't wait to see pictures of your furbaby! |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Welcome to YT! I can't believe someone would say that, your baby is adorable and yes he looks like a yorkie. People need to get over the "teacup" yorkie, like they said its a marketing ploy. Plus teacups would just be a lot more to worry bout. I'd prefer a larger yorkie over a tinier one. I actually wish my baby was a little bigger but I love her anyway, she's 4.5 lbs. Don't let people like that get to you, they are just misinformed.

| Don't worry---he's beautiful and all yorkie! My boy is a whopping 8 lbs. and I hear that all the time. Yes, there is a 7 lb standard, but my Sarge doesn't seem to have gotten that memo, and did his own thing. Just be happy with your precious baby and ignore silly remarks. | Why can't people just buy a Yorkie because they like the breed? Why can't they just be content to have a healthy, happy dog? Some people drive me crazy when they open their mouth and speak of things they know nothing about. You have a beautiful Yorkie and I would be very proud if I were you. Don't listen to stupid people... |

| MAX IS ADORABLE!! Looks like a yorkie to me!! Some people are just not educated about the breed, don't mind them, just chuckle inside I have many people ask "is yours a teacup?" and I just tell them "She's a toy size just like ALL yorkies" 6 pound is within the standard (3-7lbs). Mine are currently 3 + 5 lbs. They may grow bigger, who knows. Anyways, Max looks STUNNING!!! Gosh, he's a beauty!

| Welcome to YT. Max is a beautiful, standard size Yorkie. His coat is so pretty to. So many people have no clue what they are talking about. Now that you found YT you can educatate them. Most wouldn't believe you anyhow, I'm afraid. All they want is the tinest the better. Stupid! Yorkies do come in all sizes, however 7lbs and under is the correct size per the AKC standards so Max is perfect Buddy on the other hand is alittle bit over, like 9lbs over. Lucky me to get two 7lbers and one 2lber in one dog. |

| You Max looks perfect to me.....I wouldn't mistake him for anything other than a Yorkie!! He reminds me of my Lucky....size, colour...everything! If the person that approached you at the pet store knew as much about the breed as thinks.....she would have known that there are no such thing as Tea cup yorkies!! Not to worry...years down the road you will still have a happy, healthy Max and she just might have a healthy pile of vet bills!!! Next thing that will be out to make a buck will be a Tea spoon Yorkie!!! Some people....grrrr
