MAX'S MOM .IM GONNA TRY TO POST PIXS OF MAX HOPE THIS WORKS. THE FIRST ONE IS BEFORE I HAD HIS EARS SHAVED |
there is only 1 kind of Yorkie and that is a yorkie...standards states they should not exceed 7 lbs.... welcome to YT....can't wait t see pictures of your baby! |
Try this again 4 Attachment(s) One more time |
There is only one size of yorkie and that is the standard size. Usually people use the word "teacup" as a marketing ploy. I had a friend who bought a "teacup" and ended up with a 12lb yorkie. Standard states that the dog shouldn't exceed 7lbs :) Welcome to YT! You'll love it here and can't wait to see pictures of your furbaby! |

Lil Max is handsome! :) Welcome to Yorkie Talk!!! |
Don't worry---he's beautiful and all yorkie! My boy is a whopping 8 lbs. and I hear that all the time. Yes, there is a 7 lb standard, but my Sarge doesn't seem to have gotten that memo, and did his own thing. Just be happy with your precious baby and ignore silly remarks. :animal-paCathy, mom to :aimeeyork Sarge and :aimeeyork Lexi :animal-pa |
Why can't people just buy a Yorkie because they like the breed? Why can't they just be content to have a healthy, happy dog? Some people drive me crazy when they open their mouth and speak of things they know nothing about. You have a beautiful Yorkie and I would be very proud if I were you. Don't listen to stupid people...;) |
yorkie your yorkie is beautiful, love the second picture. Looks like his hair is growing great & it looks nice & shiny. He looks like a perfect size to me.:) |

Welcome to YT. Max is a beautiful, standard size Yorkie. His coat is so pretty to. So many people have no clue what they are talking about. Now that you found YT you can educatate them:p. Most wouldn't believe you anyhow, I'm afraid. All they want is the tinest the better. Stupid! Yorkies do come in all sizes, however 7lbs and under is the correct size per the AKC standards so Max is perfect:thumbup: Buddy on the other hand is alittle bit over, like 9lbs:D over. Lucky me to get two 7lbers and one 2lber in one dog. |
You Max looks perfect to me.....I wouldn't mistake him for anything other than a Yorkie!! He reminds me of my Lucky....size, colour...everything! If the person that approached you at the pet store knew as much about the breed as thinks.....she would have known that there are no such thing as Tea cup yorkies!! Not to worry...years down the road you will still have a happy, healthy Max and she just might have a healthy pile of vet bills!!! Next thing that will be out to make a buck will be a Tea spoon Yorkie!!! Some people....grrrr |
Max looks perfect to me. |
