| I too read somewhere last year about placing cd's on the clothes line. We have a chicken wire fence for the dogs off the back porch, and I went and got some flashy pinwheels and zip tied them to every post. It looks rather funny, but I haven't seen any birds of prey hovering around any longer. Myah also has a light weight dress, that has a strip of flashy sequins on it that I put on her when she goes outside. Before we put all the flashy stuff out....we had birds circling over head all the time. Not any more. |

I'd have a fit, but it didn't keep them away. We stopped feeding the birds some years back, & no longer see hawks up near the house. I see them further in the distance though.

| I know fishers are horrible aggressive things. We back on to 'pickies'! I would never leave Mr. Darcy out back alone. Would you know if they would climb up onto our deck? I used to leave the dog door open so he could go in and out and watch the driveway for me to come home. Yikes, not anymore. I heard the Ministry brought them in to get rid of porcupines - go figure - which is worse??? Now why don't the get rid of fishers - I haven't seen a porcupine in ages.

| Google them!! Ugly things with very sharp teeth, and long nasty claws.
