The one she is considering seems to be the reputable one!
Yep! But, I do strongly recommend that she contact Jim Hupp/Brett Walker since Exmoor is their line.

Wow, it's great that you are keeping an open mind about this. The only thing about the website that concerned me is that it looks like you could buy a dog directly from the website. Joey's breeder insisted on getting to know me and I feel this is so important. A good breeder can help you realize if the yorkie is the best breed for you, at this time in your life. The puppy's pictures you posted did look very much like an 11 week old puppy to me, their hair is much longer than a newborn, and look fluffy at that age. Joey was 12 weeks when I got him and he looked a lot like that. Mardelin (Mary) has been a yorkie breeder for a long time, and is a member of the YTCA, I would take her recommendation of contacting Jim Hupp/Brett Walker. Of course, I always recommend that you go see the breeders home in person. I like to know how the dogs are being raised.

Heavenly Terriers is a wonderful breeder. She just had her 7th or 8th champion, so she is into showing and her dogs are beautiful. I have bought both Matty Lu and Kalina from there and they are perfect dogs IMO. Best of all is their personalities. They are healthy and beautiful. The two puppies in my avatar are sired by a Heavenly CH. I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about her.

I am sure that Jim and Brett will concur with what I just said. I did go to Indiana to get Kalina and I still have contact with the breeder to this day. :)

It is so great that you are reconsidering. I'm sure that yhou will save money in the long run and have a much happier puppy. Plus they will stand behind the puppy and make themselves available to you if you have any concerns.

The puppies in the pictures are gorgeous.

This is what I consider the "perfect world".:D A person comes on YT and finds out the "puppy of their dreams" is not so much. They take the advice from experienced people and CHOOSE to look elsewhere! Congrats to the OP!

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:These pups are adorable, healthy, fluffy and ears are up! Wow, sounds like you are on the right track now and can avoid some of the potential problems than many of us found out about the hard way. Good for you!

I think if the puppy is played with and held by the breeder that it will love humans. However a puppy that is left in a crate and has very little human contact will take much longer to bond, simply becuse they were not bonded to HUMANS in general.
i got Karma at 2 years old, she will not leave my side, she won't go to the kids when they call her. she sleeps in my bed and will not get up until I do. so i agree, bonding is based (IMHO) on how much time YOU spend with the dog.
When I got my cairn terrier pup I let the kids hold her a lot and take her to their room well she ended up bonding with my oldest son and husband more then me. And i feel that was because I didnt hold her and play with her like they did. I thought it was cute that they loved on her and she loved back..lol well now she is "their dog' lol

I just have to say that for weeks I haven't posted much on YT because of all of the drama that has been going on in some threads. BUT this thread has given me reason to speak up. I am so happy to see that someone has really listened to the members here that really are looking out for the best interest of this breed. This is very refreshing!

Well we got Mr. Buttons at 8 weeks and he was just about 2lbs...He is now full grown at 4.8 pounds....Good luck!! Yorkies are sooo cute!!

not to mention rescues have pups too don't they? i coudln't afford the big prices, nor would my husband let me spend that kind of money "on just a dog" I got Karma free..i spent a lot of time looking. but perhaps I got lucky lol

I want to add that the fluffiness is just the puppy coat, and his coat will change in color and texture over the first 2 years.

Also, with ears already erect, you won't have to come here asking advice on how to get them to go up like many do. And you won't have to ask us when to neuter him, and to go thru the nervous trauma of putting him under anesthesia etc. With a good breeder..... you are good to go, and even sooner than the other you put a deposit on. :thumbup::thumbup:
