| ![]() Any suggestions for how to teach shake? We've had Ferguson for 3 months now (he's 2 but we got him from a shelter) and we've learned sit, down, roll over and he will sometimes do stay and come. I've tried for weeks with treats to teach him to shake. I take his paw in my hand, say shake, and give him a treat. I can't get him to give me his paw on his own. He learned down and roll over in one sitting so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong with shake. We've also tried crawling but as soon as I try to drag the treat away from him as I've seen others suggest he immediately gets up and hunts it down.
