I love that story!

Reminds me of a time my sissy lab was walking unleashed at Pyramid Lake in Nevada. A big, mean-looking dog walked up to him and peed right next to him. Not to be outdone, Alex walked right past him, went out into the lake and proceeded to lift his leg and pee in the lake. He glanced back at the big, mean dog as if saying, "Fine, you got the land, but I got the lake."

He did stuff like that too often for it to be a coincidence.

Pooka, my first dog, was a real actress. When she got a shot at the vet's, she carried on like it was a major injury. However, she often forgot which leg had the shot in it, and would carry the other leg around for hours. PS- the name "Pooka" is great for a little dog. It means a spirit that takes the form of an animal, and brings its owner good luck. It usually "belongs" to someone lazy, or someone who enjoys a drink a little too much!

Lacey used to understand the word "punished". Sometimes I would get mad at her because she would be barking while I was on the phone or something. I would say "Lacey, go to your room now!" (her room being the laundry room) Her little head would go down and she would give me that sad little look on her face. But, she would go in her room most of the time. But, when I closed that door, she would throw a fit with her barking and crying to get out. After 5 minutes of it, I always felt sorry for her and let her out. And then she would give me nothing but doggie kisses and I would never stay mad after that.
