I think that's exactly it. If someone is nice about their fear or dislike of dogs, then I would accommodate them. It's when people are just flat out rude for no reason that makes me want to do exactly the opposite of what i want. Like I've said, ok, complained many times before, if a customer politely tells me they are afraid of dogs, i will put Uni behind the counter. BUT if they yell at me to "lock it up", most likely I won't.

I agree that it is all about how people handle it. I have a neice who does not like small dogs they gross her out bc they like to kiss. lol so when she stops by I keep mine in the living room bc she tries so hard to be polite and my dogs are lovers They can love you to death

After practically hocking the fillings out of my teeth to buy my Biewer.....I sent my sister a picture of her. I admit my motives were evil. She has "one-uped" me all my life and I really just wanted for once in a lifetime to make her drip with envy. The day she got the picture in the mail, she left a message on my cell phone that said, "Oh Linda, you are hilarious! You've bought a skunk! and managed to get clothes on it"!

I guess having a kid who HAS had her face nearly ripped off by a dog and who does now harbor a real fear on occasion when caught off guard by even small, harmless dogs...
