| Safe to take puppy to park to walk? I know that sounds weird...since I am sure everyone takes there lil munchkins out for walks.....But where we live, it is not an option...(mt's with alot of animals roaming...and hawls and owls the list goes on) But anyway....we are taking our two lil furbabies on vacation next week...and I will not be leaving them alone in the room, so.. they will be out and about with us... Thing is, Shay is a yr. and has had all his shots..so he is okay..lil Miss Bella though is almost 13 weeks....is it safe to take her walking? I worry about parvo and things like that..... What do ya 'll think?

| I have to say, please do not take your little puppy to any type of park, pet store, or over someone else's house, where their animals have not yet been vaccinated, I would wait until your puppy gets bigger and gets all their first vaccines, their immune system is very low!

| Can you crate her when you are not in the room? I would also ask for NO housekeeping as well. Take Lysol with you and spray the carpets!

| Lysol GREAT idea!!! thank you, didn't think of that.. Just called the vet and Bella did have her Distemper and Parvo vaccine on the 19th....and is getting second round on the 11th (next thurs) only thing she won't have is rabies....and I think that would be to many at one time, to add that...what you think? So, I feel better knowing she has had first round of shots, and will have second right before we leave...I can't believe I forgot..I was panicked..lol..thinking o nooo she is a baby...that it slipped my mind..lol..I am a worry wart...

| If she will only be around 12 weeks with 2 sets of shots, then you are right. She can't walk just anywhere. The general recommendation is to finish DHP at 16 (new rec. is 18) weeks and wait 1-2 weeks after to expose them to anything. The only thing you might get away with is carrying her.
