| When I went to buy Bella Mia I had a choice from MANY puppies. Bella Mia was the puppy that jumped up on my lap when all the other puppies went outside to play. Sherman Tank was a puppy from Bella Mia's litter of pups. We decided NOT to keep any puppies from the moment we found out she was pregnant. My bf told me one evening late into her pregnancy that Bella Mia "talked to him" and said she was giving him the 3rd pup born and we could not ever give the puppy away. He has been such a love bug and a great addition from day 1!

| i got Gatsby as a graduation gift my grandmother paid in advance and when the time came my best friend drove me out there and in to a strange house and said okay this is the big surprise but you have to pick theirs a boy and a girl well i wanted a girl and she knew that but i looked at both of them my best friend reach down and picked up the girl and said in a very excited very triumphant voice"hears the girl" i looked at her and cuddled her a min and then she reached in and said "just to be fair, hears the boy" in a very flat almost sarcastic voice the second i saw his face i knew i had to have him i just did. my best friend was surprised by this because for some reason she had bought a blue crate pad and blanket for my puppy she told herself it was because she liked it better. the only sad part to this story is that his sister cried and cried when we took him i could hear her outside it broke my heart because of a member telling me i should i got up the nerve to ask AKC if she had been registered and she has so now im trying to find her i hope she is in a good home

| My pup had three liter mates. I don't know what drew me to her when I first picked her out, she just seemed kind of sweet and docile, and I like spunk in a terrier. When we went to pick her later to bring her home, the whole litter (3 girls and a boy) was playing and tumbling around. One stopped when she saw me, and ran up to me wagging and wiggling. Then she went back to her litter mates and started playing and tumbling, kind of taking charge over the whole situation. Then she noticed my husband, and ran over to him to greet him, then back to the litter mates to take over again. She was the "docile" one I had picked out earlier, and WOW had she changed! What spunk, just like I wanted! None of her litter mates ever stopped playing to greet us, so I felt it was meant to be, as if she had picked us out. She was just so personable with us. Now, months later, I realize that she didn't pick us out at all. She is just VERY friendly with all people, and so excited to see everyone, even strangers. She's such a floozie! I like that she is so friendly, but she would be awfully easy to steal, so I really need to keep her "on a short leash," so to speak.

| Jamie still had 2 siblings in the home when we went to pick one. But the owner had decided to keep the smallest one. So these 2 little boys came running into the living room in a whirlwind. They both had the zoomies and were getting into everything. Since it was my first dog, I chose Jamie because he was calmer than his brother, the tasmanian devil.

| I had my babies name (Cerise) picked out for her months before I began searching. I waited and researched breeders and then one day noticed that Chattiesmom (here on YT and AWESOME) had a puppy named Cerise for sale. Of course I had already checked her out too And by coincidence she had named her Cerise right before I joined YT. So I knew it was FATE! And believe me she is EVERYTHING I dreamed and hoped for.

| Well, my DH actually picked Rily. We were looking at a couple of girls, but none really clicked. My DH said "What about that one?" I held him and it just felt right, so home we came with Rily. I have loved Rily from day one, but I still wanted a girl. I spent hours on YT just looking at baby pictures (I still do) when I came across a thread about Saydee's brother. I PM the lady to ask about the baby girl in the litter. She send my info to the breeder, who in turn contacted me and send Saydee's picture...BINGO...it was love at first sight...I don't know how to explain it...it was just RIGHT! I couldn't stop looking at her picture, I couldn't wait to get home from work to show the picture to my DH. When I showed him the picture, he said "Let's go get her." I asked if NC was too far to go and he said "Not if you want her." So after a very long couple of weeks, we went to NC to get her. She gave me kisses as soon as Kelly handed her to me. We stoped to get gas and use the bathroom as soon as we headed back home. When I came out of the store, Saydee was kissing my DH's whole face. It was an instant fit for us both. Rily welcomed her from the start too. They are BFs, for sure. I hope to get another girl soon. I believe I will know her when I see her the first time. BYW, Saydee is still a BIG kisser.

| I wanted a girl yorkie.... I was working as a Vet Tech and one of the Vet's friends knew of a breeder, she knew I was looking for a girl I told her what I wanted her to look like , she kept bringing me pics of puppies... I never saw one I liked. Then she had this little boy, she called and said she was bringing "MY YORKIE" in she didnt tell me it was a male, she brought him in and I looked at him and I feel in love! I grabbed him and he licked my face all up!! Then she told me he was a MALE! haha, I didnt care he was perfect! I knew he was the one! He never left my sight after that moment!! I honeslty think when you are looking for puppies it is best to go meet them and see how you click. You will know when you see the puppy that he/she is yours!!

YT 1000 Club Member | Well I had talked to Friday's breeder before she was born and She was expecting 5 litters. So I told her I wanted a female from this sire and this dam. Well of course she tells me she may not even have a female we will just have to wait and see. Lo and behold she had the one female. They sent me a pic of her at 2 weeks when she opened her eyes and I fell right then. Then a friend and I drove out to see her at about 4 weeks and the breeders daughter tried handing her to my friend and Friday pushed at her with her paws so the daughter handed her to me and she nearly jumped into my arms. I held her up kissed her nose and she kissed mine and then I cuddled her and she sighed. and fell asleep. That was it. I put my deposit on her and told Friday I would be back in a few months to bring her home. Well when we went to go pick her up my friend got a male and Friday she greeted me with kisses and snuggled in and fell asleep. She's been my cuddle bug ever since.

YT 500 Club Member | it seems the norm in most of these stories that your baby will pick you when that pup comes romping over pick it up kisses n cuddles then let him/her settle in your lap usually they heave a big sigh of contentment THATS when you know its yours ...that sigh

| These are some of the most wonderful stories I have ever read!! I am going to get my new furbaby in a week and I have told the breeder I would like a female since my last yorkie was a male. She has picked one out for me, but said that I may come and see all four of the puppies. Now that I have bought a pink carrier/carseat, I am thinking maybe I should be a little more neutral with my colors just in case lol

| I met Pann and his brother when they were three weeks but someone had put a deposit on one of them but hadn't picked which one she wanted so I got whichever one she didn't choose (I got Pann from a byb I didn't know any better then). But when I went to pick up the puppy there was Pann all alone and I fell in love with him. He needed a bath but otherwise was perfect and just layed in my arms the whole hour and a half home watching the rain out the window, he's always been so mellow I'm so glad that I got him. |

| I wanted a girl, because boys look a bit silly in ruffles and lace. So, when I found a local breeder I went to her house and she had 4 pups, 3 were girls. I put the deposit on the one that kept climbing up in my lap and would only leave it to 'bug' her siblings. She was the liveliest of the bunch, not the prettiest but the most personality, for sure. When it came time to pick her up she and one other female were the only ones left. The other girl was smaller and had the sought after 'teddy bear' face. The breeder was asking more for her because of her looks and no one was willing to pony up the extra money. I was taking Bug (yeah, that's her name) and the little one was crying, Bug wasn't looking very happy about leaving her sister. While we were working out the formalities they were wrestling and cuddling and I could tell they were pretty much bonded. Wasn't much I could do but also take the other one. So, I wound up with the both girls. Baby and Bug. So, they've never been alone and I've never regretted it. Bug picked me drug Baby along.

| Aww - I love these stories. I'm especially emotional about them because I'm going Sunday to pick up my new little boy. Sadie's getting a brother! I'm getting him from the same breeder that I got Sadie from. When I got Sadie, I knew I wanted a girl. She had three at the time and sent me pictures. I fell in love with one of the pictures but told her not to tell me which one the picture was of when I got there. One little puppy stayed in my lap the whole time I was there. She gave me all kinds of kisses. Of course I chose her (or rather she chose me). After all was said and done the breeder told me that she was the one from the picture that I liked so much. It was so sad though when we were leaving. I was putting her in the car and she turned around and looked at her breeder like "Uh Oh, I think I messed up - this lady is taking me away!" Her breeder almost started crying. This time is a lot easier. Valerie (her breeder) knows me and we've already agreed on the puppy for me. She knew I wanted one that was kind of laid back and would be about the same size as Sadie. She's sent pictures and I'm already in love and showing him off to everyone. I can't wait for Sunday to get here! |
