Aww - I love these stories. I'm especially emotional about them because I'm going Sunday to pick up my new little boy. Sadie's getting a brother! I'm getting him from the same breeder that I got Sadie from. When I got Sadie, I knew I wanted a girl. She had three at the time and sent me pictures. I fell in love with one of the pictures but told her not to tell me which one the picture was of when I got there. One little puppy stayed in my lap the whole time I was there. She gave me all kinds of kisses. Of course I chose her (or rather she chose me). After all was said and done the breeder told me that she was the one from the picture that I liked so much. It was so sad though when we were leaving. I was putting her in the car and she turned around and looked at her breeder like "Uh Oh, I think I messed up - this lady is taking me away!" Her breeder almost started crying.
This time is a lot easier. Valerie (her breeder) knows me and we've already agreed on the puppy for me. She knew I wanted one that was kind of laid back and would be about the same size as Sadie. She's sent pictures and I'm already in love and showing him off to everyone. I can't wait for Sunday to get here! |
