Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | well before Yoshi went missing he was almost 2 years old and never bark once in his lifetime...he whined a lot but never not 1 single bark...but his whining was something else...it was so high pitched that i wish he was just barked instead...now that it's been a little over a year since he went missing/stolen i admit i do miss his whining....when he first went missing it was really heard for i caught myself on numerous occasions running to the front door because i thought i heard him whining outside but i guess it was my own mind and ears playing tricks on me....whoever has him got a dog most people would love to have...one that is housebroken, doesn't bark nor mark....one that was full grown at 3.12 lbs....sorry i am rambling....lol but i am sure it's because she hasn't found her voice yet...and it is quite comical when they do...some even startle themselves at first....then some just never stops after they find it...lol

| ...and the problem is...? haha, just kidding I would definitely feel blessed that your furbutt isn't a noisy little tyrant. My Joey barks quite a bit, and it's pretty annoying. I do welcome it when there's something important he needs to let me know, but when it's just to bark at me to play with him or at other dogs/people outside, it's just obnoxious.

| Hi..well my Dustie...nearly one this weekend...hardly every barks...in fact he didn't for ages..nor did he whine either...Now he only barks when it seems necessary..i.e. when startled..a knock on the door etc. or when he hears the post...Its great really...My other Yorkies used to be noisy little devils...they never stopped barking...so its great to have a quiet one. If I were you I would enjoy it...I do lol..x Chris x

| Sophie found her voice at about 6 1/2 months. She does not use it often and I hope it stays that what but I am sure she will use it more and more as she gets older. She is 7 months right now. |

That's so sad that you had Yoshi stolen. I'm new so I hadn't known of your story until now. When I was younger my parents had our family dog stolen from us. As young kids (I was 7) it was devastating and to this day I can remember the loss of our dog trigger. We're pretty sure he was stolen because a guy had come to buy some lumber that my Dad was selling and was asking about our dog (because he was half wolf which was unique). The guy kept going on and on about Trigger and asked how much my Dad would take for him. My Dad was like that's our family pet so I can't simply sale him. A few days later he went missing. | |

| Darla has only barked once and it surprised and scared her under the coffee table. She ran backwards trying to get away from her bark. It was so adorable. Give it time, your little one will bark sooner than later too and it'll be so cute. |

| Totally didn't know how old this thread is. Sorry, I feel kinda dumb now. It came up as having recently been replied to and I was lurking around and decided to give it a read thinking it was recent. Last edited by SarahBear1986; 04-29-2014 at 05:28 PM. |
