YT 2000 Club Member | I also bought little Jasmine from a newspaper ad, however before I bought her I went to see these other pups and boy was it a mess. This person was literally a back yard breeder. Until then I didn't know that people actually had these dear little yorkies in their back yards. Well, this guy had a very small pen with dirt in mud for the flooring for these pitiful little dogs and they were just dirty. It was terrible, keeping them outside like that. We left and went to the next place which was wonderful and that is where we got Jasmine. This lady had the parents on the site, very clean, knew a lot of the breed, sent me home with food, registration papers, vaccination papers, etc. She was very informative. So it worked out for us ok.

| We also got Uni from a newspaper ad. We got VERY lucky, EXTREMELY lucky, now that I know what I do. She was from a small byb. The parents were not on site. We bought her bc Uni "chose" me, and I couldn't say no. The pups were clean, but were kept in a pen. The breeder said they were 8 wks, but they were really 12 ( usually they say they are older than they are to make them look smaller). Uni came with a microchip and 1st set of shots. She ended up healthy except for LP. But even with everything good that has happened, I would NOT buy from a newspaper ad again. I know too much now. I know there *can* be some good people out there that advertise in the paper, but the majority of them are not so good. Just do your research, basically interrogate them, and trust your gut. Good luck.
