If You Knew of a Yorkie in an Abusive Situation... what would you do? Let's say you don't know the owners, but they live close to you. |
Id try to get all my ducks in a row meaning...documentation, video if possible, etc then call the authorities needed, and put in for an adoption as soon as the poor Yorkie was removed from the situation. What would you do? |
I don't know. Beat the crap out of the abuser probably. |
Yes I would report it. try and get a second witness and report them. |
A report is a must! Poor little thing!!! |
I agree! You have to do something but make sure you have proof, documentation, and everything you need! Of course I would rescue an elephant if I could ;) |
I have always felt that to know an animal is being abused - to know it as fact - is to be morally bound to do something about it. How intrusive those measures grow I think then becomes a personal decision. (After believing for over ten years that I was destined to be a vet, I chose another career, strictly because, after helping out at a clinic, I didn't think I could restrain myself around abusive owners. I can just see someone bringing in an injured pet, and me "visiting" upon the abuser the same injury inflicted upon that helpless creature, then getting arrested, going to jail, becoming notorious.....oops, sorry, got distracted. :p ) At the very least, I'd call the appropriate authorities. If you are in this situation, StewiesMom, I wish you luck. It's not a comfortable place to be. |
Definetely report them. At least call and let the authroties know that you suspect whatever and it can be at least looked into! |
Well....I think you know what I'd do!!!! :D Reappropriation can be a very good thing! |
I think i'd do what Elizabeth did! :D well, Elizabeth, I see you just posted lol! |
I'd get as much physical proof of the abuse and report it. or call the RSPCA and have them investigate it. |
I would immediately report them . |
I would work quickly and quietly and get all of the documentation I could get and then report the abusers with the evidence. I would be afraid that I would have only one chance to save the poor darling, so I would try to be as thorough and quick with the documentation as possible. |
I think like everyone else has said,,, get all the info,,, and document itall.and Yes report it,,, If it is legitimate,, then they will handle it,,,if not,, hey, better to have tried and be safe,,rather than NOt try and something awful ends up happening. How bad would you feel then. I love to watch animal cops,, and would LOVE to have that job,,, BUT,, I know I would loose my cool, and end up choking someone,, or degrade them on their stupidty... But, SOME people ASK for it! ~~ I just dont think the fines and penalties are ENOUGH for what they have done. |
I HAD to report a neighbor who had a dog with a reallly bad skin problem and he was curled up in his yard waiting to die...I climbed my fence and took pictures - emailed them and reported the neglect asap - with the location and cross-streets etc. The pictures got them out to save that dog within 2 days - The Houston Cops ROCK in my eyes - they acted fast and did NOT share my information with the home owner - they just said it was reported by someone but no names were mentioned....not that I cared... because that little white dog was in such bad shape I wanted to scream at them - but the ASPCA did stress they don't share who tips them off. The more information you gather - the faster they act. Pictures if you can get any help alot also |
