I also would report it. I could not sit back and know that abuse was occuring wether it is a child or an animal. Yes get as much documented evidence as you can.

I think I am going to have to do what Elizabeth did. "Reappropriation". These people are cops -- nothing is going to happen to them if I "report" them.

I live in a smaller town and in the 2nd poorest county in Ohio. I could report all I wanted, and nothing would get done. :( Kinda sad but it is true! I would have to have some pretty damning evidence to get someone in trouble around here for puppy mills or animal cruelty. Although, I would still report, and keep on and keep on and keep on. I just cannot fathom how anybody could beat or mistreat an aminal???? :mad:

That's TERRIBLE !! Money or how rich/poor a county is should have no bearing on how animals are treated !! That's very sad to hear......

Most people do NOT get "in trouble"....if you saw the pictures of the white dog I reported - you would feel PHYSICALLY SICK and those people just simply surrendered the dog stating they couldn't afford to take him to the vet - yet they had just bought their KIDS this HUGE Jungle Gym that took up their WHOLE BACKYARD - and they have a big backyard - that thing had to cost upwards of 500 $$$. All that with a dying puppy living out there ...they didn't even get fined but the dog WAS SAVED and that's what counts !!!!

what the hell kind of a world do we live in! for goodness sake, this the
united states of american. it makes me sick to hear that people can get away with harming an animal... any animal...oprah has to be contacted.....

Oprah bought her dogs from a puppymill, so I don't think she is going to listen to us.

So much for sending her ALL that stuff that we did, about Puppymills,,, what did she do,, get the addresses,, so she could find HER dogs??!! :mad:

Ok so here's what you do now, get as much evidence humanly possible to convict them, when you think you have enough contact an attorney and talk to them about your options, then report it to The RSPCA or other major investigative animal cruelty companies. these people need to be stopped!!! :mad: :thumbdown

yes, of course I would report it, but I don't think the wheels of justice turn fast enough, so I'd probably try to get the Yorkie out of the home. Ok, I admit it, I'd probably steal it if I had to and risk getting arrested! Now I'm not giving that advice to anyone! But they are so little and so defensless I couldn't imagine not just grabbing the poor thing and running as fast as I could!

If you know the dog is abused, to heck with reporting it. Just go get the dog by any means necessary. I did this once. I was just going to take it (yes, steal it). However, that wasn't necessary. I knocked on the door. Told them I knew that they were neglecting their dog ei. not feeding or watering it and could I take it. Low and behold they gave it to me. Of course a few months later they wanted it back but didn't get him back. Now he is safe and happy on a farm with regular feedings and lots of love!

Call the authorities IMMEDIATELY!!! It could be life or death for that dog! :(

I would tell you to report it as well...but not only that I would tell to also get others around you to report it too...if the authories see that it is not just one complaint but rather many complaints maybe they would react faster!!

This is the field that I want to go into after I graduate, so I am always on the lookout for cruelty cases and what I can do to stop them!!

What? Why, I can\'t imagine why someone would want to harm a cute little yorkie. Wait, I\'m having flashbacks of the abuse my CARPET has received. LOL

But seriously, if I knew for sure, someone was abusing a yorkie--or any other dog--I would do my best to get that animal out of that situation. I think people who intentionally hurt animals are the same jerks who hurt people.
