| Another Pet Story Just finished reading the PetSmart story - yesterday must have been the day. We went to get puppy food and met another 9-year-old male. He was pathetic. His tongue lolled out of his mouth on one side and you could just tell something was bad wrong. His "daddy' said he has seizures. Has had them from the first day they bought him as a puppy. I asked if he was hypoglysemic - he didn't know. But somebody told them to give him honey when he had a seizure. I told him to put Karo in his water and maybe they could head some of them off. Anyway, as the discussion progressed he asked what I was asking for my puppies. $800 - oh my, he thought that was high. Then told me he just paid $450 for his dog. I wanted to say, "You paid $450 9 years ago for a sick puppy and you think mine are over priced?" But I didn't. The little guy was sweet (about 4#) and I felt so sorry for him. Too bad we can't rescue all of them.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | That poor baby - Nine years old after having seizures is amazing in itself...Wonder why they never tried to treat him for that - maybe that poor baby has brain damage ? It's kind of a miracle he's lived to nine....that's so sad but then again - maybe the little guy is happy ? |

| Poor Baby! First of all that man sounds careless about his dog because if my dog would have seazures from they one up until now that would have rang a bell from day two of the incidents. Now I don't know whats wrong with people now it so hard to find a yorkie of good quality for less than $1000 and this being cheap. If you don't like the prices that are being quoted to you move on and look elsewhere. I think your prices are fair and this man if really ignorant. |

| Did you say PetsMart? I DESPISE PetsMart! I got bella groomed there once, I asked for a small trim. THEY SHAVED HER! I was so upset, I burst out in tears. She had a gorgeous medium sized coat. It was such a shock. Were now growing it out though!

| I feel the man does care for his dog. The fact that he kept it from day one and it is now nine years old and he takes him to Petsmart says a lot. He may be uneducated as what to do for the dog, but he is doing something right. If he didn't take that pup back the first day he got him, it must have been love at first sight. My neighbor's Chi's tongue hangs out all the time. They are just so used to it that I think they are surprised when people notice it. His mouth is just too small for his tongue. That Yorkie's tongue probably does hang out from some brain damage from the seizures. Poor liitle guy. Last edited by Julz; 10-13-2005 at 02:57 AM. |
