Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | More good advice. Thanks for the continuing posts. Hickey007, that looks like a very cool harness/collar. I'm not sure how it would work for obedience, where they want any "corrections" to be a quick tap, but I like it for day-to-day use. And apaprikao, I think those collars are fairly well accepted for larger dogs. I admit I'd still have a hard time using them, but I've talked to several people who say they have worn them themselves and found them not painful.

| While I don't necessarily agree with using pinch collars for any dog, I can see it being useful for bigger dogs and not causing any problems for bigger dogs because of their size. But for Yorkies, their necks are already fragile enough and they are so small, I definitely don't think it's a good idea. Have you considered clickers or rattling coins or a water bottle spray for Eddie? Wow, that's pretty dedicated that owners would wear one to test it out, if it's not painful for the larger dogs, then I'd be for the use of them (but only for the larger dogs). You've brought up a good question, alaskayorkie! |
