| ![]() So we still haven't decided whether to get a boy or girl yorkie. I have read about plenty of cons on getting a boy but are there any cons on getting a girl. My mom has a girl yorkie so I wanted a boy so that they would possibly get along better but I have read so much about the whole lifting the leg thing that it sorta is freaking me out. Especially because we travel and would visit my mom frequently would hate for the dog to mark in her house. We also have a 8 year old daughter. Any help or advice you can give on the differences would be great! :-)Pam |

| ![]() I have one of each and I love them both. However, the boy is MUCH more affectionate... he is here to please ME, while I am on this earth to please the girl, ![]() I had my boy neutered at 6 months old and he has NEVER marked in my home ever. My next one will be another boy but I think you will be happy with either one! |

| ![]() I have a boy and a girl....My girl Princess Bella Mia is uuummmm well certainly a female dog ![]() Our Boy Sherman Tank he is a little lover of everyone, everyone always gets moochies animals, humans, toys etc. Everyone makes him happy all the time. He is a floppy, goofy, sweet little love bug. He does not mark in the house. He was neutered at 6 months. He is not a "stuffed animal violater". He follows the rules the best he can as he still is a puppy. He still makes the better effort to do right. He does his business outside and without hassle. He is just a great all around 16 pound yorkie! He cant be beat! ![]()

| ![]() I have a male yorkie, and I have no cons with owning a male. He is the sweetest dog that I have ever seen. He follows me everywhere and is a little cuddle bug. He never lifts his leg in the house. He has been potty trained since he was 16 weeks old. ![]() |

| ![]() I also have a boy and a girl. My boy is 2 1/2, was fixed at 6 months and unfortunately does mark - especially in new surroundings. That said, he is a doll, always happy to see EVERYONE. He is very affectionate but not much of a lap dog. He likes to be sitting on the couch next to us. My girl is 1 1/2 and is my angel. She is the biggest love bug I've ever owned. Loves to be in our laps and follows us everywhere. If I was to ever get another I personally would get a girl, only because of the marking! |

| ![]() I adore my Gizmo! He is just so precious to me. He's a chunky monkey, and a big boy, but I love having him next to me. I also love having a girl, but like someone else said, she's a diva. ![]() ![]()

| ![]() I have one of each and love them both very much. The only difference I have noticed is that my male is a Momma's boy and my female is a Daddy's girl! Also my male has never marked in my house of anywhere else for that matter. He was neutered at 6mths. I also have a female Shih Tzu and a female Bordercollie cross and they are both Mommy's girls. I don't think it really matters if it's a boy or girl, just on whether it is the right match for you. ![]()
