I also have a boy and a girl. My boy is 2 1/2, was fixed at 6 months and unfortunately does mark - especially in new surroundings. That said, he is a doll, always happy to see EVERYONE. He is very affectionate but not much of a lap dog. He likes to be sitting on the couch next to us. My girl is 1 1/2 and is my angel. She is the biggest love bug I've ever owned. Loves to be in our laps and follows us everywhere. If I was to ever get another I personally would get a girl, only because of the marking!
