There is a pet shop near my shop that is actually called "pocket puppies" That's where a customer of mine bought a "micro" yorkie and she was so proud.

That's exactly what I was afraid would happen, I just think the term "pocket puppies" is so much worse than others. One member says she uses the term "pocket rocket" and that seems to be much more accurate!

Errr...Nancy, as a guy, I can tell you that 'pocket rocket' is a term I've heard before and it has nothing to do with Yorkies. Let's just say I wouldn't use it in polite company....I might get slapped!

Oh my, my mind didn't even go there, it was a thread on teacups and other nicknames for tinies, and she also added that her mentor calls them "Dinky Do Nothings", lol, at least I thought it was a thread about nicknames for yorkies. Well, I won't mention the "lady's" name. I will now put my shovel away.

You wouldn't get slapped in the Show World.....the term is used very readily to describe those lil ones that are kind of iffy on making it to the show ring.

Yep! But, then us dog/exhibitor/breeders terms that shock some people.....some correct terms such as "bitch" shock a lot of people but, it is a correct term when describing a female......and it is used to describe our exceptional girls.....

I know I was shocked when I first read it here used to describe a dog. So a breeders terms for mom and dad, are bitch and sire?
