| Getting Yorkie this weekend I need boy names! Hello everyone, I'm kinda new here and I'm getting my yorkie this weekend on Sunday! He's 8weeks and 10 days (but whose counting oh I am). But there's just one problem. I can't think of any names! He's a boy but nothing comes to mind. Should I wait to get him and look at his personality and it will just pop in my head? Or do you guys know any boy names? I'm looking for something simple. (not too long or too short). Thanks so much, Nameless

| I waited until I had my babies to name them. I observed how they interacted with each other in general what their personality was like. I find it is a more fun way to bond with your new baby. Also, when I introduce them to other people it is a nice conversation starter about why I named them the way I did. Either way I am sure your baby will love you whatever you name him.

| I had a hard time also! And tried a couple of names on Jasper for a day or two until Jasper just seemed to "fit". Milo, Marland, Nemo, Elmo, Simba, Felix.... I'm sure you'll feel the same, when you have the perfect name for your puppy, you'll know! Good luck and let us know what you choose!

| There are some threads on here just about names. They're always hard to chose You might want to see if the breeder can possibly keep the pup a little longer, taking him that young can be harmful. You should try to wait until 12 weeks if possible. |

I think once you see him, his name will come to you. However, I always swore if I ever got a boy I'd name him Ernie! | |

| When we named our cat, we had several names picked out and couldn't decide. So we wrote them all down, put them in a bowl and picked one out. His name is Milo. Jack is Cpt. Jack Sparrow as Milo's sister is pure black and my hubby named her Black Pearl. My daughter named Jack - since we had the Black Pearl, Cpt. Jack was fitting. However, let it be known that you will call your fur baby everything under the son. Poor Jack is also called, Bubs, Bubba, Bubby, Bubsy, Cutie Patootie, Jackster, Jackie, Jack Sprat, Stinks, Stinky, just to name a few - Bubby is probably the most common one though. So I know that was absolutely no help. I'm sure you will come up with a good name. I also like Bentley and I like Elvis for a boy too.

| Fun !!! How about Roscoe ? I agree with ChewyGeorgia, you can wait til he comes home and you spend some time with him, a name might come to you...... ...or if you're still drawing a blank, you can Google "puppy names", and about a hundred gazillion will come up. Don't sweat it !!! You'll do fine. The right name for your pup will make itself apparent soon enough. Have fun with it !!! |

| I believe you should wait to see what his personality is like..I did that with Taz, and it took a few days to name him..Just wait until you get him. A name should pop into your head! |
