| Floppy ears My little Abby is now 14 weeks old and her ears are floppy. Sometime one is up while other is down or both. Is this normal? When I have them clipped at the groomers will that help them stand up? Is there an age they just automatically stand? A lot of questions I know but my first baby. Thanks. |

| She is fine momma! Just keep them shaved down, they will go up and down as she is teething. Very normal!

| Bristol had one up and one down. We had the groomer shave them a couple of weeks ago and look at them now---she is the pup in my avatar! Within less than a week they were both up and haven't been down since. She was 16 weeks yesterday! |

| been there This very thing happened to me. When Zippy was a little puppy it was one ear up and one ear down, etc. I wasn't worried yet. When he reached 1 year his ears looked fine. Both up. Then when he was about 1 1/2 I started noticing that one ear was up and one ear was down. Now this was an expensive dog and I was concerned. I was told that I needed to get his ears tipped. I had never had that done, because I hadn't realized they should be tipped. Well, I took him to the groomer along with pictures of what I wanted. The groomer said I was silly to think that just cutting the hair off his ears would make them stick up. I told her to do it anyway and what a shock we both had. When I went to pick him up I was so happy to see him with both little ears sticking straight up, just like they were supposed to. I have no explaination execpt that the hair on the one ear was just too heavy and was hiding his ear to the point it looked floppy. |

| Do all Yorkies ears stand on their own? What age do they stand by and at what age are they a lost cause? Our new boys ears stand only sometimes when he is curious about something and he is already a year old so I think they are just going to be floppy forever

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Yorkies are all different!! Some will have ears that stand up, and some will have floppy ears! My Missy is part of the floppy eared yorkie club and I think she's just as cute as can be!

| Wookie is almost 5 months and his still aren't standing either. I taped them for a bit and they stood for over a week. They fell again when he started teething, so we'll be trying to tape them again soon. They will need help!

| Rocco's ears are floppy and he is about 16 weeks. They rise just a tad, but i think the hair on the backs of his ears need to be shaved. But then again, I really like his floppy-eared look, and so does my husband. I'm almost hoping they'll stay down
