Default been there

This very thing happened to me. When Zippy was a little puppy it was one ear up and one ear down, etc. I wasn't worried yet. When he reached 1 year his ears looked fine. Both up. Then when he was about 1 1/2 I started noticing that one ear was up and one ear was down. Now this was an expensive dog and I was concerned. I was told that I needed to get his ears tipped. I had never had that done, because I hadn't realized they should be tipped. Well, I took him to the groomer along with pictures of what I wanted. The groomer said I was silly to think that just cutting the hair off his ears would make them stick up. I told her to do it anyway and what a shock we both had. When I went to pick him up I was so happy to see him with both little ears sticking straight up, just like they were supposed to. I have no explaination execpt that the hair on the one ear was just too heavy and was hiding his ear to the point it looked floppy.
