It is refreshing to see that everyone is pretty unanimous about this issue. Like I said, I had never heard of this and its not a consideration at all. I love my baby either way but it's still worth a try!! It seemed that they maybe asked more out of habit than knowledge of the breed.

I have heard of people (vets office and yorkie message boards) referring shaving the ears as cropping them. So maybe it was a misunderstanding. I about had a heart attack the first time I heard someone say try cropping the ears. I shortly found out they ment shave the tips.
