YT Addict | I have to show my husband how the one climbed up and over the gate, cause yes ours too did the same thing when he was about 12 weeks old, I actually thought I forgot to put him away, until he did it the next day too so now we shut the laundry room door but its a big room so he has plenty of room. |

| That's exactly what my little guy did, but he got his foot caught once and that's all it took to dislocate his hip...

| Ugh. My biggest fear is that Roxie is going to get over the gate in the kitchen and get hurt in the process. She hasn't climbed yet, but I am afraid she will try it eventually.

The videos are funny to watch but your story it's funny at all! Mika and Tom Pouce have climb the 3.5 feet gate that close their bedroom before, I got worry for their knees so I now put an extra part on the top that stop them from jumping...and for the puppies, i usually move them to the dog's bedroom when they start climbing on there play pen but I will for sure be way more careful with the next litter. Thanks for the warning. | |

Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | i have Mei Ling who can open the wire kennels by unlatching the lock (pictured below), this other one that has a different lock and if she had thumbs she could probably open the plastic crates....lol....and she is a climber/flyer....i have gates like the one in the 2nd video and she can fly over those...so what i did was went to baby's r us and got another type of gate that had like plexi glass instead of one pictured below and double stack them while I am gone. So the one with the holes and what not is on the bottom so they can see out...but if she attempted to climb or fly over them she couldn't because of the one stacked ontop of the other one that doesnt have grates for her to slip her feet in...and because of the plastic or pexi glass she has no grip.

I agree, the x-pen top is great to have. I would rather mine not try and climb out. With the top on they don't even try. Mine fits the 4' x 4' pen or it folds in half for a 2' x 4' size.
