| How much to charge for Dogsitting? HI, My husband and I are going out of town this saturday and Do not want to kennel Lilly, We would take her with us but its a 3 hr drive and she is only 8 weeks and get car sick very easily. We have a friend that has offered to dogsit her but I really want to pay her for it. I have never paid for dogsitting before am not sure what would be reasonable. It will be an all day job and she is still not completely housebroken so it will be alot of work watching her. Can you tell me what you think would be a good pay for dogsitting? Thanks so much. Brianna |

| how long are you going to be gone? the cheapest kennel rate here (south of Houston, Tx) is our vet and he charges $16 per dog per night. we also have special "dog b and b's" and i believe they charge up to $30/40 a night depending on if you want certain services. think about what it would cost you to take her to dinner and give her some thank you flowers. maybe wine. if she is your friend i say maybe $40. for a weekend. now if it's some kid down the street, $25 should be good. have fun! ps-she may not want to take your money. in this case, force a gift certificate on her to her favorite shoe store... |

| I paid 40.00 a day for the dogsitter who watched Maximus when I went away...she was with him all day and her yorkie and he stayed at her house...he was very happy and had attention all day long so it was definitely well worth it..but as mentioned above me your friend probably won't take anything for it

| Thanks Medusa, I am worried she wont take my money lol... but I think if that is the case I will make it up to her by dinner or wine or flowers. I was also thinking $40 was a good price but wasnt sure. I will be gone probably from 8am to around 9 or 10 pm so like I said, It will be an all day job |

| I have only paid for overnight sitting and i pay $20.00 for 24 hours. Our employee watches both our girls. (both dogs) The groomers for Schatzie and Annabelle charge $15.00 per 24 hours (each dog)

| If I have to be gone all day, my friend takes Princess for the day. She won't let me pay her, so I send flowers to her work from Princess, then I take her to lunch.
