how long are you going to be gone? the cheapest kennel rate here (south of Houston, Tx) is our vet and he charges $16 per dog per night. we also have special "dog b and b's" and i believe they charge up to $30/40 a night depending on if you want certain services.
think about what it would cost you to take her to dinner and give her some thank you flowers. maybe wine. if she is your friend i say maybe $40. for a weekend. now if it's some kid down the street, $25 should be good.
