We sure don't. You could have knocked me over with a feather when the vet told me he had LP. After six years we find this out. wow! I am hurting so much for my little boy right now, but it explains a lot of the way he has been acting in the past not wanting to walk more than about 10 minutes and wanting to be carried a lot. I thought he was just my "wimpy" little boy but he was probably in pain or discomfort. I feel so bad for him now. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that he started using Daisy's steps to get into bed and I wondered why he wasn't jumping up in bed like he used to. Never in a million years did I suspect something like this. I'm glad we know about it now so we can watch him and help him more.

On Thanksgiving Day afternoon, 2008, my little girl was running like a maniac in her fenced yard and turned wrong and completely tore her right rear knee tendons in two. There wasn't a cast but it was 8 weeks of no jumping! Today you would never know it happened. She jumps like she always did. I just hope she doesn't have any problems in the future.

Wow, 8 weeks of no jumping. I don't know how you did it! Teddy has to be quiet for one week and I know that is going to be rough. He loves to run. It was when he was chasing Daisy like a little fiend when he stopped running and yelped out in pain. I thought maybe he twisted his leg or hip or something. I sure hope and pray that he will be a lot better by the next week or two. I'm really happy that your little girl if fine now.

I guess I should have said it was her knee ligaments, not tendons, but you guys probably knew what I meant.
