So sorry I haven't been able to update everyone till now. Been one of those days. I am happy to report that Fiona did wonderful during her surgery today! Her blood work came back perfect and she is now sleeping beside me. Other than being a little tired she is fine. Thanks to everyone who prayed and thought of us today. I believe in the power of prayer and it is nice to know that there are so many that care.

Everything will be fine.
I felt the exact same way when I took my Callie Lou back in October. She is a tiny girl too. I had to wait a little longer to get my Callie from my breeder because of her tiny size and waiting for her to eat well on her own. I scheduled the spaying for her and our Yorkie-Poo that we had adopted from the shelter, Maggie. I wasn't as worried about Maggie because she is so much bigger than Callie.
I had talked to my vet and told him all my concerns and he listened and reassured me....and I was fine until I had to leave that office.
I cried all the way home. They kept her overnite and she did just fine, but I was scared like you, it's completely understandable.
I'm sending up a prayer for your baby. Keep us all posted~

Absolutely relieved! I made it out of the office this morning without anyone seeing me cry but when they handed her too me this evening I just about lost it. I didn't and thank goodness because the waiting room was packed. I don't thank I have been that emotional since my boys were born.

They are just like children, you can't help but love them and worry about them

Maybe you will be able to get a good night rest tonight now that you know she is fine.

I am so happy to hear that Fiona did well and is resting comfortably at home with you now!! I recall very well how close to tears I was, too.

It is a necessary thing but very scary, even more so for those on the smaller side.

I am so happy that Fiona's surgery went well. I know you are glad it's over and she is home with you now. Sending prayers your way for a speedy recovery for little Fiona.
