Meet Chase! He is just a sweetie! I got a call today from our local kill shelter about him. Within 20 mins I was at the shelter, melting over him. A lady had dropped him off (WITH AKC papers, too!) there without even really trying to find a home for him. Apparently she got him as a puppy and he is now still under a year old. He has not been worked with at all. He is not housebroken, not neutered, not leash trained, his hair is really matted in some areas, floppy ears (which are cute but I think I may try to get them to stand), his nails are super long, but he just has the sweetest eyes.

She said she was rehoming him b/c she got a new dog and that he was really aggressive with her new dog. I think the people at the shelter think I am crazy since I already had 4 dogs at home but I see no reason in giving up on the poor guy without giving him a chance in trying to integrate him into our home. So far, he has shown absolutely NO aggression at all... so I have no clue what that lady was talking about.

I plan on getting him neutered next week (my vet is out of town this week) and I am really hoping that it helps with the marking (praise the Lord for belly bands!).

I think Chase is a lucky boy to have found you, what is wrong with people some trade dogs like trading cars poor baby this may have been his luckiest day ever

I think Chase is Adorable!!! How in the world could anyone give him up?? Their loss! So Happy for you & Chase!! Can't wait to hear & see more of him!! Hope he gets along well with yr other babies!! I Love his floppy ears!!

Oh he is precious! Congratulations! So glad you could get him and he didn't have to spend much time at the shelter.

I don't understand ppl at all! you get a new dog and there are a few issues and you bump them to the curb??? unbelieveable!!!

Thank goodness they called you and he has a wonderful life to look forward too!!!

I think I need to get an eye exam. I was looking at the picture and I thought something was wrong with his ear. So, I enlarged the picture and it was a human ear!

Hi Chase! Like his name and he looks like such a sweet guy. I think he is adorable.

Doesn't sound like the previous owner should have a dog at all!

I think he's a very lucky guy to have you adopt him. If his previous owner felt nothing for him to be able to dump him off at the shelter I'm sure he didn't have a very good life with her anyway. He may have not been abused, but I doubt he knows what love is. I'm sure you'll both enrich each others lives.

Chase had an angel come into his life.
