| I would not pay $600 or even $400 for a mix dog. As stated before you can find them in all the pounds. The fact that she offered you $400 is amazing. I would ask her some questions to see if she is truely interested in the pup and try to get a feel for how the pup will be treated. You already said that you were giving the others away so why try to make more off this one. And sorry, but even friends and family I would not give a puppy to, but would sell at a very low price. There is no guarentee that they will not have to be rehomed at some point. (Although I do have to say that I have family and friends that treat thier dogs like members of the family) |

Exactly! I understand and agree with you. There are too many people finding out the hard way by trying to save a few bucks, being impatient, or insisting that the important things one should consider when choosing a healthy Yorkie... don't matter.

| So much I could say on the subject, but I'll bit my tongue and keep it simple. Yes, I think that $600 is too much...I think that $400 is too much. Basically, I think that anything over covering the vet bills of the pups or an adoption fee from a shelter is too much to pay for a mixed breed OR non-papered dog. I also think the assumption you drew regarding her husband having money based on the giant ring you saw on her finger was unfair and speaks volumes.
