The problem is, a breeders word is only a good as the breeder. If it's a puppy mill you might not even get the puppy you thought you were getting. I doubt if they even know one puppy from another or which one came from which mother. I guess if you get him and really do not like him, you can resell him.

No one can tell you if his size is right unless they know exactly how much he weighs and how big he is. I would not take the word of the breeder if he is just guessing. I cand't believe he doesn't have a scale to weigh him. He is most likely telling you what ever you want to hear.

![]() Recordkeeping in the mills is very poor and often documents are altered so they can sell puppies younger than eight weeks old. I still remember the member on another forum who had a puppy shipped to her from an online breeder. Not only did the puppy look nothing like the puppy in the picture, it was much older and even a different sex!

![]() I made the mistake almost 9 yrs ago of buying a dog from a petstore which obviously got it's puppies from a puppymill (well broker, Hunte Corporation to be exact). I can only hope that the OP isn't struck with the vet bills and heartache that my family and I have had to experience. It is awful to watch any animal suffer, but it's particularly hard when it's one of your own. ![]()

| ![]() My Rocco was around 3-4 lbs at 9 weeks as well. He is now about 12 wks and i believe 5 lbs..i am pretty sure he will be a much bigger than average yorkie. he is very sturdy, has short legs and a thick, wide body..not to mention HUGE paws that he will have to fill as he grows! so your bentley may be a little on the bigger side, but loveable all the same. Rocco is a sweetheart and so loving to our resident dog Bella ![]() |
