| 7week old already changing colors ok my pup is 9 weeks now but since about 7 weeks of age, I thought she was going bald at first, but I searched these forums and found someone similar saying that about there puppy who was 14 weeks( i think), everyones comment was the roots are probley lighter but 14 weeks was very early to be changing colors.....well if 14 weeks is early for his to be changing his coat color, what does everyone think about mine changing so soon......the roots are long enough now to where I can tell its def.not balding haha, her hair really is changing already, does this give me any idea of how her color should turn out?? ? |

| Wow a 9 week old puppy should be with its mom until 12 weeks. How old was she when you got her? They will change colors until they reach maturity 12 months old or older. Send some pics of your baby and welcome to YT...... |

| it seems like everyone has said that....I got her at 6 weeks old.....thats sad if she needs her mommy, no wonder shes doing terrible about potty training and cage training..............the breeder told me that the mommy was snapping at them already and they were ready to be weaned at 6 weeks.....so I didnt know any better, I am so new to all this...but yeah I uploaded pictures, I tried to upload her newones at 6 weeks but the pics were to big becuase they were with my new camera so I took these with my old camera...I will try to get her 6 week old pics up somehow! the new ones are on my profile, (let me know if they dont show up) Last edited by loveagoodstorm; 01-11-2010 at 07:52 AM. | I'm sure it's possible. But no way of knowing if that will be the final color. Might change again and again until you reach the final color. Do you know what color mom and dad were? Did you see them?

| Sugar started to change colors when she was 8 weeks old I think it's very much depends on their own growing process, I'm not sure! But I've never worried about anything

| When I first saw mine at 5 weeks, she had not started changing colors yet. When I next saw her at 7 weeks, she was DEFINITELY starting to change colors on the top of her head. Some blond was growing in. At 16 weeks tomorrow, it is still holding strong and becoming more noticeable. Who knows where it will be when it's done, though.
