| Hair question So as some of you know Peanut is always cut short. Well I am sick of it I want to see how he looks with longer hair!! So I am growing it out! Its funny bc I or DH cant even picture what he will look like..Its hard for me to picture him with long hair.. hehe Anyways... When his face hair gets long and in his eyes whats the best way to keep it out of his eyes? A top knot? Where can I get the little rubberband things? How do you put a top knot in without hurting them or making it too tight? How do those little clip things work?? Are those better? I cant wait to see him when its grown out. I will prolly buckle down and cut it sooner than later lol but I will try to grow it as long as WE can handle!

Hmm I will have to check the dollar store out! Is a top knot hard to do? I always thought it hurt them bc they are so tight? Do you leave your top knots in all night or do you take them out at night?

| I did the little clips at first, if they fell off (or were taken off, he he) I would just put them back on right away. After a week or so the yorkies pretty much get used to them. I use clips until the hair gets longer, then bands with a clip in front to hold the little pieces in place then just bands when the hair is longer. I get the bands at the dog shows or several websites sell them. I like the the color coordinated canine ones. They seems crazy expensive at first but the bands last forever (over a year) and are great quality and don't dry out and break. Also invest in hairband scissors to cut the bands out to prevent hair breakage from pulling out the bands. Before you know it you will have a top knot! |

| YT'er Des at www.mygofetch.com sells the topknot gel as well as some awesome rubberbands. I don't use rubberbands all the time though either, I prefer to use the soft Goody bands for day to day wear.

How do you go about doing a top knot? Do you just grab the hair by his eyes and pull up?? Your furbutt in your avatar has the perfect top knot! I attached a pic.. Is his hair long enough to make a top knot?

I just do a simple top knot pulled up the the center of the head. I hope that helps, and thanks so much for the compliment. Your Peanut is a sweetie by the way! I think you can get a band in his hair now, with a clip to hold it in place. Last edited by Breeze; 01-09-2010 at 06:01 PM. | |

| To get the clips you can go to the dollar store, I love the different colors, styles and go through so many. 20 for $1, not bad. I think Mr.Vacuum eats them up, lol. I have to say in our home top knots are very manly, so Peanut will look great. |
