I was planning to get Monica spayed soon after she arrived. I found out while at Animal Control that they offer Vouchers for Free or cheap spay/neuter. They do not do the spay or neuter. I asked what clinic does the surgery. I was soooo happy to find out that our vet is registered with them so she will spay Monica! All they ask is proof of residence (electric bill) Proof of Rabies Shot City Licence. If you dont have a current rabies or city license you can pay it at time of giving your application. I called my vet and asked what they use for sedation because of course that is a concern. They do IV sedation but only to put them under and they maintain them with Isoflorane during surgery so they wake up faster. I love our vet The cost is either free or $25 for the spay or neuter. She will do a checkup on her before and that I will pay for but dont have to worry about spay costs. So if anyone is looking for affordable spay or neuter Contact Animal Control and ask. Also ask if your vet is part of that program. Gen

A neighbor told me about Spay USA . They're online. You call up and tell them you're zip code and they mail you a voucher to get your dog spayed/neutered for $85. My vet was going to charge me $600 + anesthesia! Winston went last Tuesday and they even kept him overnight to monitor him.

Hi, Gen, who do you use? I have some family that use Dr. Passman as he is a family friend and some use Dr. Gill.
