| Does anyone else feel this way, or do i need to have my mental health evaluated Ok, I have been wondering if anyone else feels this way about their furbabies. When I am holding my two or they are laying on my lap, or anytime really. I just do not see dogs. In my eyes they are my babies not dogs. I don't know if this is normal or not. I have not told anyone how I feel, I just don't think they would understand. I just wanted to know if anyone else has these same feelings about their babies. I have always had pets in my life and I have always loved them, but this is different. I just want to see if anyone else out there is like me or do I need to go in for psychiatric help. I want the truth and I can take it if you do think I am crazy or is this just normal Yorkie mommy behavior.

| If you need to have your mental health evaluated, then so do I because I feel the same way

| I think this is the "normal" for yorkie owners lol...I'm always trying to figure everything out (in my mind) and I've decided that because they are so small, you, naturally, get that maternal instinct...And because they never seem to "grow up", I think that maternal instinct just never goes away...Everyone loves and is very nurturing to a "puppy", but when they get bigger, not so much...I've always loved all my pets, over the years, but my mothering instinct is much stronger w/these little yorkies...So I don't think you need a shrink, you just need to be around people like yourself "ALL OF US" lol..... |

| oh jadabug I'm glad that there are others I was seriously thinking I need to be comitted, these 2 are my babies and I actually start crying thinking if anything were ever to happen to them. The funny part I had a real phobia of dogs for over 30 years, and now I find myself picking these guys up and cuddling them and kissing them like babies. |

| If you get committed, you will have a lot of YT friends to keep you company. I completely understand and people act like I am crazy, but I don't care. Sometimes I like them better than I do my skinkids!! LOL

| You're not crazy, you're just a Yorkie mommy. I'm the mother of 4 grown children and my Piper is perfect for my maternal instincts. I love her in the same way I loved my skin babies. I always call Piper the baby.

| I don't know if its normal...but definitely normal for a yorkie mum!! Molly was 2 years old when i rescued her and she's 4 now. I could sit for hours just gazing at her snuggled up by me sleeping, although i wouldnt confess that to anyone apart from other yorkie parents!!
