| new member!! Hi All Stumbled across this forum whilst looking for tips on caring for our yorkshire terrier puppy. It has provided fantastic information, therefore I thought I should register to have the opportunity to thank everyone for their tips! We got Treacle (long story on name) when she was 12weeks old, she is now approaching 6months. Boy does she have some energy, please tell me she will calm down a bit as she gets older! She is really loving, however a bit of nightmare for pinching washing from laundry baskets and we seem to be going backwards with potty training after she was doing so well! Also, I live in London, UK! Treacles Mummy! |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Welcome Treacle. Glad you found YT. You should find a lot of answers here. I'm on my first Yorkie so take my advice with a grain of salt, but he's 17 months old and I'd say he has definitely mellowed. He used to follow me around every second of the day, and now he follows me around every other second of the day. Just kidding. He really has mellowed. We have a couple times during the day that we routinely spend time with him. The morning walk and the evening play time. Other than that, he's not overbearing like he used to be. We had great luck with potty training. He was real good at 6 months and "perfect" after 9. But I've heard horror stories, too. All I can say is good luck.

| Welcome! I feel I can hear your wonderful british accent in your post, and I love it!! I love Treacle's name. It reminds me of "treacle pudding" in the Harry Potter books. Hope you stick around and have some fun with us!

| Hi and welcome to YT! I am Judi, Baili's mama and live in Orlando. Baili is almost 2! She loves to steal anything she can grap from the laundry basket and run with it. She looks back to see if I am going to chase her.... It has become quite a game in our house! You will love the people here! I have learned so much and met wonderful new firends!
