| Wondering why her hair is not fluffy like others? Long story short, 1st pup we were to get died (supposedly at 9 weeks, I think she sold her, we were to get her at 12 weeks) got our deposit back and found this pup by chance. She came from 2 limited registered AKC Yorkie's (we saw them, they are also not from the same breeder and different ages) and no we did not pay an arm and leg for her, we paid the vet's office to cover her shots and help pay for the moma dogs section and spay. I do not in tend to breed any animal ever so she is on track to be spayed prior to first heat around 6-7 months old, she is 13 weeks old now & 3 lbs 9 ozs. (almost 14 weeks) and we have had her for a week. They are covering her spay if we go back there under the cost that we bought her to keep her from having pups as an incentive. Great vet IMO. Anyway, I am just curious as to why she seems so short as most pups I see are balls of fluff? Her coat is shiny and soft. I would never trade her, she is great and already doing so well with pee pads or outside, whines to go out, it is great. Here are some pics of her. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...l/IMG_4933.jpg http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...l/IMG_4940.jpg |

| See, I at first thought a mix as well and questioned it considering there are no papers and was told she is full Yorkie by the vets office and seeing as I did not pay out the wazoo for a so called "designer breed" I figured why would they lie. I was thinking maybe a mix with a Silky even though the parents are limited Yorkie's maybe they lied on papers from their breeders and they are silky's Hmmm? Those pups tend to have shorter hair and her brother has the fluffy hair and one ear standing. Her ears are not as floppy as they look there, the hair is actually hanging about a half inch on them all around and they look bigger than they are. I guess I could shave them but standing is not really an issue for me. Oh well, time will tell I suppose but she is just super sweet and made herself at home already. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Silkys look just like yorkies as puppies with fluffy hair. If i guess a breed i would say Dachshund like jeannie. |

| She does not look full blooded. I did notice her ears are not standing up also. That may not mean anything at her age. My 14 week old males's ears are not standing up yet. But she is a beautiful puppy. Sounds like you saved her from some bad circumstances. I bet you will never regret getting her and she is very lucky to have you too.

| She has a pretty shine to her coat. It will be easier to tell when she is a little older but whatever you want to call her she is absolutely a little doll !

| I agree, she looks like a yorkie / dachshund mix, as apart from her colouring, she's nothing like my pup at the same age. Regardless, you have a gorgeous baby!

| http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...l/IMG_4958.jpg THat is her today. Her ears always lay that way when she is laying down as she sleeps on her back, silly dog. If she is a mixer uper they could have made some dough of of them since there is no AKC for mixed breeds. Looks like they chose to do more of what is right than making money, even for the lady that had the oops, she certainly made nothing but at least got the vet bill covered since I paid the vet's office not her. And I got a really great dog. |
