| I got Alfie at 10 weeks and he was 4lbs. I think he is going to be a big boy. I don't think it sounds right to let babies go when they are young and light in weight. |

| Senior Yorkie Talker | I am the one who posted that thread referring to Southern Star Kennels. That puppy was 12 WEEKS OLD when we got him....(born 9/22)....NOT 6 WEEKS OLD. .8 of a pound is 2 tenths less than a pound. Tiny? Yes indeed... But Chewie was ENTIRELY healthy and was eating great...vet gave him a clean bill of health or Brenda would not have let him go. She provided them with all the paperwork verifying his visits to the vet. I agree that some breeders do let them go without a care in the world....too young...too small...unhealthy. And for a breeder to let one go at 6 weeks old is ridiculous! But that was not the case here. My daughter also took him to the vet as soon as she got him just to be sure and the vet said he was great~ ....and that he was just a tiny little fella. My Callie is 8 months old...she was the runt of the litter too...very tiny. And my breeder made me wait until she was sure she was eating good and was completely healthy before letting me have her. She was a little thing and always will be...but she is fine. I just wanted to clear that up. I would not want anyone thinking that the breeder NOR I acted irresponsibly. Thank you for listening~
