| Normal Growing Pattern? When I first got Penelope she was 5 months old and weighed 2lbs. When I joined YT she grew to 3lbs. Then a couple of weeks later (less than a month) she grew to 3.5lbs. Now she is almost 4lbs, and she is 8.5 months old. She is definitely not overweight, and I only feed her twice a day with lots of little snacks in between meals (carrots, celery, cucumber, dog treats, etc...). At the last yorkie meet up I went to I was talking with some of the other yorkie parents (owners) and some of them were saying their dogs had a growth spurt between 1-2 years old. I am still wondering if anyone in the forum has a guesstimate on what her adult weight will actually be. I have a feeling if she keeps growing at this rate she might get to 5.5lbs. But then again... still not sure. Thanks for everyone's replies! |

♥ Catherine My Love ♥ Donating Member | That is a real tough one. I must admit, I haven't read any threads about Penelope, so you may have said this somewhere. But, how much do her parents weigh? Was she ever hypoglycemic under 3 months? Usually, females are done growing at 8 months or so ('usually'). But, there are always exceptions to the rule.
