| If you call the airline you are traveling on, they may have some information for you. You may also want to try calling a travel agent - they are usually very knowledgeable about these things I've never traveled out of the country with a pet, though so I have no first hand experience

| Check Quarntine may be necessary Please check with the American consulate in the country where you will be traveling. Many, many countries place dogs in quarantine for a variety of days before the dog can be lose in the country. My first yorkie, Whitby was a traveling dog, he belonged to an Air Force couple and after all the countries he had been to and placed in quarantine, he had severe separation anxiety that he never got over, requiring a dog sitter for the 10 years that i was his mama. |

| Yes, a lot of countries won't let you bring your Yorkie into the country, without some kind of quarantine. You can travel pretty much anywhere in the USA via plane with a dog (except Hawaii), but to a different country is a different story. |

| Most airlines in this country require a "Health Certificate" issued by a vet within 10-30 [?] days of travel. I carry copies of Toto's vet records everywhere we go ... some hotels also require them. Even though we have never been asked to produce them ... we always travel "prepared"! There are several countries that we always planned to visit ... not any more ... if Toto can't go, then we don't go!! We would never, ever subject her to quarantine!
