| He'd tell them to take proper care of their dogs and stop being greedy by breeding them back to back and selling them unhealthy to make a quick buck, because they are basically cheating and stealing from people, and abusing the breed.

| I just have to say WOW. This thread has brought out some angry and in some cases massivly judgemental comments. I can not foresee a time I would ever sell a puppy on the side of the road. To say I would never is patently foolish as I don't know what life will bring me tomorrow. I don't know that some middle eastern potentate won't set off a nuclear weapon over my state and the only way to get me and my family across the river to a safe zone is to sell a puppy next week. I know people are rolling their eyes at that as if it could never happen but people don't see a car accident or a plane flying into their building in their futures either. No one knows what tomorrow will bring, happiness or horror. So to say I would never........ |

| He would forgive. That does NOT mean that he would approve. I do NOT approve in the sales of animals and I DO find it disgusting. I stand by that...and I only hope and pray that one day the laws will be applied EVERYWHERE and ENFORCED protecting these innocent beings from the evil of this world. I did not say I would never forgive, but someone needs to REPENT first imo. Just my opinion of course. Would you say the same thing if it were a child? If someone could not feed their family and chose to sell one of their children, would you think that was ok? Would you be approving? I wonder.

I have had MANY hardships in my life and as someone else said here, it NEVER crossed my mind to sell a dog. But, just like the people who engage is such behaviors think it is ok, apparently many of the supposed "yorkie lovers" on this board do as well...what a sad world we live in.

| Let's all be realistic here and quit it with all the what ifs. The FACT is that the people that are selling dogs on the side of the road right now are hoping people will buy them as christmas gifts. All they want to do is take advantage of the season and make some money. yes it's wrong. There was a news story here a few days ago. A man was caught trying to cross the border from Mexico into San Diego county. He had FIFTEEN! 8 week old poodle puppies. He was arrested and the dogs confiscated of course. All 15 of them were diagnosed with parvo! He even admitted he was going to sell them as christmas gifts. The reporter also warned the listeners not to buy puppies as gifts from random people on the street as most end up dying in a few days.

| Jesus would not judge. "Judge not that ye be not judged." Mat. 7:1 He would also not insult his friends, even for the sake of a dog. "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs,..." Mat 7:6 We are all dog lovers here or we would not be here. Forgive and educate if you REALLY want to make a difference. Judging and insulting does nothing. |

![]() I was just reading an article that was investigating this. I guess they checked out the license plates on some of the cars selling pups. They found a laundry list of charges against the car owners; including burglary and sexual assault of a child. I guess that just shows what kind of people are capable of selling puppies on the side of the road. People with little or no morals. Those poooooooor puppies

| I have just read through this entire thread and I am just beyond words! Well maybe not ![]() It is irresponsible in any ecomony to first breed dogs for any reason other than the betterment of the breed. I am sorry but there is no excuse to not have your dogs spayed or neutered. The idea that this woman had an intentional breeding of her dogs to try to make money is just mind boggling! First off, she took a chance that her female would have a safe delivery. What is there were complications? What if emergency vet care would have been needed during the delivery? Then what? If they do not have money for lifes necassities there would obviously be no money for a vet emergency for something that was PLANNED! Then lets touch on the issue of vet care for the puppies. I am guessing there was none. Not responsible in any shape of form. Even the basic vet care would have cost several hundred so I am guessing no vaccines were given to these puppies. Now you have just added to the overpopulation of animals and brought more helpless animals into this world without regard for their future. Where do you draw the line with selling puppies to make a buck? Is it only alright to do it you are unemployed, terminally ill, need to buy the grandkids Christmas gifts............should be make a list? If is is wrong for one person it is just wrong straight across the board! There are no "IF's" in the equation. Don't even get me started on the Amish! Hmmm so it's alright for them to turn to breed because they have lost factory jobs! That is beyond ridiculous! I am sorry but there is no way that I would ever consider breeding dogs for any reason. I have not been able to find a job in 18 months. Unemployment lasts for 99 weeks according to the latest legislation passed by the Senate a few months back. There is help with heat, electric, and food if you make an effort to look for it . Instead this woman decided to sit in a parking lot selling puppies that were way too young to leave their mother. Unethical and unacceptable no matter what the circumstances are in her life. Actions like this woman's just perpetuates the suffering that goes on daily all over this country. There is absolutely no reason to ever try to rationalize breeding and selling ANYTHING on the side of the road. Finally, I would like to point of that irresponsible breeding goes on to cost us the taxpayers that fund shelters and the disposing of all of these unwanted beloved pets that are sold. Anyone that rationalizes that doing something unethical or illegal needs to take a look at their own moral compass.
