| Yorkie puppy advise needed. Hi everyone, We just got a yorkie puppy on Thursday 12/17/09 from a friend that bought it for his girlfriend and he didnt know she was allergic to dogs. So he sold him to us he bought him from a local breeder came with all papers and shot records. We just found out today that the place he purchased got closed down the day after he purchased the puppy. Which means all our documents are worthless we have an appointment with our vet tomorrow to get him shots and current vaccinations since we don't know if hes had any now. He has been eating fine and going potty fine so far really playfull puppy. We took him in for a wellness friday and got him heartworm shot and flea stuff they weighed him hes 3lb and vet said looks healthy. Remind you this is before we found out he didnt have shots. He really have come to love our puppy we just want to know if he is a pure breed and how many weeks he actually is and how big he will end up getting. I will find out tomorrow at vet tomorrow just wanted some prior feed back from yorkie owners I posted a picture of him taken today. Thank You... |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | It looks like you may never know the answer to some of your questions. Your vet may be able to help you figure out some things, but without the paper work, you'll never know for sure. Roxy weighed 3.2 lbs at 11 weeks and is now over 7 lbs & not overweight or skinny at 14 mo. Breeder figured she would be about 5 lbs. There is no way even the best of breeders can predict the final weight of a pup. Only genetics determines that. No one knows which genes are going to kick in for any offspring. Sorry your deal got so screwed up. Your little guy is sure a cutie! Welcome to YT!!!
