![]() Here is their site.Dogs and Cats Forever They are trying very hard to get a facility built but the city has been taking forever. Each time the city comes back and tells them that something else has to be changed in the building plans. Each time something is changed it takes several months to get reviewed. That is one thing I know about how this city works. Things take forever to get done. The motto I've heard is " It's done when it gets done" I went to Goodwill today and found a big thick sleeping bag. I'm going to cut up in rectangles about 17X20 and sew the edges to make plain beds that can be put in their playpens. Got a few cases of canned cat food for now.. I'm more excited to take this stuff asap!!! Walmart was deffinately cheaper for the cases. Gen

![]() OMG , this I did NOT know. I can understand now why there were so many questions. So I dont feel bad trust me. I'll be posting some pictures tonight. I went to Walmart, Dollartree & Gooldwill. I took pictures of the stuff all piled on the kitchen counter. UGH I go to take out the memory card from the camera so I can upload the pictures to my daughter's laptop....it had no memory card in it lol. The pictures are stored in the camera so Iwill retake pics because it takes FOREVER to plug the camera and open the pictures that way. Anyway this is what I was able to get and I think it was a pretty good amount! The total was two donations total $35 plus I added $24 to that. So $59 bought all this.So I am calling them on Monday to see if I can drop these items off. Could anyone here suggest a letter from our members? My mind is blank ! 12 beds (I was able to make from the sleeping bag) 6 bags Cat Litter (42 lbs total) 68 Cans of Catfood 44 Cans of Dogfood 4 bags of Doggy treats

![]() I had the 12 beds cut out and I used my serger machine and closed all the edges. This was the most affordable thing I could think of doing! The large sleeping bag was $4.24 and I made 12 beds out of that for .35 cents each! These are easy and simple to wash, just toss in the washer all at once.I saw only a few dogs with this type of bed at the shelters. Some had nothing to sleep on and some had only a towel or cardboard cut out boxes. Trust me the dogs didnt have poop on their bed areas. I thought maybe thats why they didnt have bedding. I'm not positive the Dogs & Cats is open on Monday but I'm going to call because I have gone on a Monday and no one opened the door. Since I often get dogfood very cheap using coupons I will continue doing this once a month or when I find the amazing dryfood deals. Donating these beds is something I could continue if I find cheap sleeping bags or dark color comforters. I thought of calling them "Cookie Beds" named after my Cookie. I pray that one day I get him back and Cookie and I could delivery at least 12 beds a every month to local shelters. Thank you to all who were able to give. Almost everyone I know is in a tight financial situation right now so $5 is a big deal and I understand that and it did make a difference! Gen

The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | ![]() Gen, I think calling them Cookie Beds is an excellent idea. I wish more people would take the time to donate food and bedding to their local shelters, they need it so much. Thanks Gen! Cyndi

![]() Gen, bless you for all your hard work in making furture day's brighter for some homeless dogs and cat's. We're all so busy this time of year and here you found, not only time to shop but to sew for them as well. What a wonderful, engenius idea to cut one large sleeping bag and make several smaller ones. Your just a guardian angel no matter how you look at it. I am sure you will touch their hearts when you deliver these purchases. I will continue to pray for Cookie's safe return to you. Merry Christmas,

![]() I forgot to add pictures of our delivery of donations to the Dogs & Cats Forever . I took a picture of the outside and bags of food and supplies. I was happy to see that the dogs have beds and blankets in their playpens. The house is so small and they only hold like 3-4 dogs and one room has like 10 cats in it. I'm going back this week with 40 cans of dogfood donated by another YT member. Gen
