After about two months of completely ignoring the dog and giving me dirty looks and making my me feel horrible... he starting giving in. Now he calls her "little dog". If its going to ruin your marriage dont do it. If you think that eventually he will warm up to it then its up to you. Just be prepared for a long fight and lots of dirty looks.
This statement really, really bothered me. I guess I take things way too personally...I wouldn't want to be replaced just because of age and illness.

i agree with this .
get the dog . its xmas. and yorkies are the best . i get mine monday and i just cant wait. i say gooooo for it

He actually showed some improvement today, he got up walked around, barked, tried to eat the liquid food started licking it up, but only ate a small amount... I think we are going to give him a few more days, I am afraid to take him to put him down, knowing in the back of my mind that he could have gotten better.I havent seen him throw up as of yet.. I have hope for him... My son was freaking out last night b/c I mentioned to him that we may have to put him down, if he didn't show any signs of improvement, and was trying to get him to eat and drink, poor kid. I felt so bad for him. So as of right now, I am hoping he gets better, I am going to try to feed him again in a little while. Thank you for thinking of him and praying ...:)

As for me getting my yorkie baby, I am putting that off for now, until april or may, I havent gotten a no on that yet, I feel I would be a little bit more prepaired also. and i will have a better sense of how Pete is, he is still w/ me...:animal-pa

My Hubby was not happy when I surprized him with Scooter.. Well, he said I could look at Doggies, so when I bring one home he acts shocked, Ha! It took him a couple of days, in fact the first day he didnt talk, much..lol..but now scooter sits in hubbys lap and has won his heart.. It is now a running joke in the house that we cant leave scooter alone with daddy the bully..
