| ![]() EVERYONE! Thanks for all the replies and for the advice. ![]() He's okay! ![]() ![]() And yeah, vet said I should make him eat dog food. Rice could make him have worms in his tummy. Thanks people! Now, can you suggest food for my yorkie? What kind and how will I push him to eat it? he ignores it. My friend told me I should mix it with other food 40-60% then 50-50& then 60-40% then 80-20% then 100%. Should I go for his advice? |

| ![]() Really He said rice could give him worms? ![]() Glad to hear hwe is fine, but I do not agree with the rice thing. Although I do believe they need to have dog food cause rice alone does not have what then need for nutrition. Last edited by JeanieK; 12-08-2009 at 06:21 AM. |

| ![]() When my rat terrier was sick once the vet told me to give her plain boiled rice and plain boiled chicken for a few days. Some dog foods also contain rice. Whoever you got your dog from should have told you what they were feeding him so that he could have a smooth transition in his new home. I've found with Yorkies they can be picky eaters, sometimes it takes a few different kinds to find one they like. |

Yeah. My yorkie doesn't like rice. But sometimes, I mix rice with corned beef and he eats it. Doc said it could give him worms.

You need to enhance the flavor for your pup. You can do this many inexpensive ways. First get a high quality kibble, Wellness, Natural Balance, other's not sold in a supermarket. Then add some, salt free chicken broth, boiled chicken(breast only without bones) and or veggies. You can buy the frozen ones and cook them for 3-4mins in the micro wave, let them cook, peas, green beans, carrots are great and then add them to the food. Who wants to eat plain kibble ![]() Trick the little stinker with the above and he should look forward to meals. Good luck with him, I'm so relieved he's not injured. Don't let him jump off the bed or furniture either. They get injured so easily and can break a bone also. It's much like taking care of a human baby, that should give you some insight as to how much this breed needs to be cared for. Enjoy,
