He went in to get it alright, it had gone behind the toilet tank and he could see the tail hanging down. Mind you, I'm outside my yard and didn't see it go out but he told me, he scooted it outside with the towel.
After this great experience, I didn't trust anyone, I let Punken in to make sure it was out... lol She came out again.... looking for it in the yard.

I worry about it, though. What kind of claws do they have that they can go up and down a tree trunk?

Thor is not that into squirrels, probably because they are the same size he is! He does love to chase pigeons though. One time the pigeon must have been injured, because it didn't fly away when Thor went after it. Thor made contact with the pigeon, got confused, and kept running past it! Then he turned around for another pass, and again, just kept running after he hit it the second time. At that point I decided maybe it was a good time to leave the park before Thor figured out that this was his big chance to actually kill something.

Sophie's claws aren't long at all, she jumps most of the way up and then makes her way up further through sheer determination

molly loves to chase the squirrels to. she doesn`t want anything in her yard. she flies around the yard stopping at every tree to get the birds out of them. she just begs an begs to get outside to get them. so we go out an chase them all away. that gets her exercise . but its getting cold here in indiana. but she can`t go outside by herself. so i give in an let her chase for a little while. don`t think she will ever catch any.

YES, I had a male Yorki named Buddy, the squirrlles would sit in the tree and tantilze him, this went on all summer. Well, one day Buddy proudly walked up to my husband with a squirell in his mouth,, Proud as a Peacock. He did seem to have strong hunting instincts, remember,, as sweet as these dogs look, and no matter how much we pamper them, they were breed for ratting in the start.

We have a picture but from an old camera so I cannot post, and I'm sure some would not want to see.

little girl my yorkie pom. in her younger days used to watch this squirrel from our sun room..and one day we let her out and she got him on an angle..fur was fliying my husband said he has to pry her jaws off the little guy..and then we had a bald squirrel

I was having so much fun with this thread, had to post again.

Last night when I was trying to go to sleep, I started thinking about the blog. It brought to mind when lil ol Tuffy was alive and what she did to me one day.

I do yard sales for fun. I only buy what I need, nothing more. One day, I found a brand new bird cage with everything. Ask the lady how much? You, a dollar, sold. Brought it home and didn't know what to do with it. Didn't have anyone to give too so I decided to make a trip to the pet store.

Bought Bingo, my new parakeet, mistake number one. I cared for her just like tuffy, played classical musical for her and she would sing. Never let her out of her cage because of tuffy but she was happy.

The only problem I had was when I was cleaning her cage. That little sucker would bite and not let go. One day, she bit the side of my finger at the side of the nail. Hurt... you betcha.. I pulled my hand out of the cage and she still wouldn't let go. I grabbed her from the back and pulled out all her tail feathers. She let go but tuffy was waiting, tuffy got in her mouth and I just looked at tuffy and said, drop her. Tuffy did let her go without hurting her and I was thankful for that.

I finished cleaning her cage and packed up all her food and goodies. Went next door to a young man that lives alone, never goes out of his house and told him he was now the proud owner of Bingo.... lol

Bingo is still alive and she still hasn't stopped biting and she's still next door..lol
