| Please pray -Legg Perthes - Toby in vets - probable surgery & neuter Toby was left in this morning. The vet is going to Xray to see how the Legg Perthes has progressed, and will decide at that stage whether to operate. He has a few small dogs where the hip bone has remodelled itself and surgery has been avoided, but he doesnt know about Toby until he compares Xrays. If he has surgery, he will neuter at the same time. He will stay in overnight. Am just waiting on the call.

Zaccheus had his surgery a few months ago, and he's 100% now. I'm so happy we did it!

| I will be sending you good thoughts and prayers. It is never easy when our babies need surgery or the possibility of surgery. Having been thru lp surgery, I am glad we did it but boy was I a wreck when he was dropped off and during. I didn't fully relax until he was back in my arms. Best of wishes and luck to you. We are here if you need a shoulder. hugs

What was your experience in the days/weeks after the surgery. Dont know what to expect, or how much pain he will be in or for how long.

Looking at him now, you wouldn't even know he'd had surgery. He lost a lot of muscle mass before his surgery, but he's gained it all back now. I had to do a little massage therapy with his leg to get it to extend properly. It was drawn up with spasms, but we worked through it. Prayers for Toby. Keep us updated.

I should have him home in a few hours. They are pleased with how both surgeries went. They said his hip was in an awful state, it was all crumbling and breaking off when they opened up. But at least its over and now we have to work on the recover and rehabilitation. I just hope Maisie knows to keep her distance. They say dogs sense sick animals, and know to stay away.

| Bless Toby's heart. It's so hard to see our babies in pain. I hope he is feeling better soon and has a complete recovery

| Toby is great today. He is back to his normal self personality wise. He has to be confined so he rests for the next 7-10 days, which is an issue at times, becuase he wants out, but I am so happy with his progress. He is eating, drinking, pooing and peeing, wagging his tail at everyone that talks to him

| Good, I'm glad he is doing well. The hardest part is keeping them confined.
